Default vp300 Modem

I bought the VP300 Moden,got it today and installed it into HAL pc,but the pc does`nt recognise the modem,so it is looking for a driver.can anyone direct me as to where i can get a driver from. Thanks

Thanks mike, i figured it out just after i posted,thanks again.Its just that that`s, not so good for bussiness,just a box with a modem,no details on software and on the modem does`nt even state which plug is for Phone line and which is for phone.

I apologize about the modem not having documentation. The driver is the same as the VP200 XP driver. Give me a call @ 8 1 7. 5 5 7. 9 4 0 0 and I can email you the documentation if you still need it. As far as the two phone jacks go, the one closest to the audio jack is for the telephone line in and the other is phone out.

The way I always remember it is that the Line jack is lower on the card then the phone jack. So I always say to myself... Line is Low

Are there any advantages to upgrading to the VP300 modem, or is this simply a replacement for the discontinued older versions. I understand it uses the same drivers as the VP200 and the different versions of Windows.

i asked tim the same question. he said. if the old one is working fine. no reason to upgrade at this time. i got mine runing on a pci to pcie adatpter card and it works but i get NO caller id at all. it does answer the phone. i can talk to hal. but not one caller id.
