The HALdmc is an add-on program for HALbasic, HALdeluxe, and HAL2000. One of those products must be installed in order for the HALdmc to work.

HALdmc can be purchased from the HAL Online Store. After the order is processed, a product key will be E-mailed to the address specified when the order is placed. If you do not type a valid E-mail address then you will not receive your product key. The product key will be E-mailed within two business days.

Like the other HAL software products, the HALdmc will run for 30 days without being registered. Follow the instructions below to download and install it.

Shut down HAL.

Install the latest version of HALbasic, HALdeluxe, or HAL2000 (whichever software you're currently using). Go to step 3 only after completing this step.

Install the HALdmc program. You can choose to run the program from its current location (installation begins) or download it to a location on your computer (after downloading the software, double-click on it to start the install).

After the installation is complete, start HAL.

Right-click on the ear icon and select OPEN DIGITAL MUSIC CENTER. The HALdmc Registration screen will appear. Register the HALdmc online or click LATER in this screen to register it later. The HAL DMC Setup Wizard will appear. Follow the instructions in the Setup Wizard. The HALdmc main screen will appear after the Setup Wizard has been completed.

Review the HAL Online Help Guide or the Operating Manual for information on using the HALdmc. The latest version of the HAL Online Help Guide was installed during Step 2 (unless manually disabled). The latest version of the Online Help Guide and the Operating Manual can also be downloaded from the Support page of this website.
