HALbasic, HALdeluxe, and HAL2000 all come with two default system
voices, a male and a female voice. You can switch back and
forth between either voice. The U.S. English version of
HALvoices gives you two additional voices, "Michael"
and "Michelle". The U.K. English version gives
you the voices "Charles" and "Audrey". Once
HALvoices is installed, you can switch between the system voices
and the two new HALvoices of whichever version(s) you installed.
You can use HALvoices U.S. or HALvoices U.K. with any English
version of the base software. In other words, if you're
running the U.S. English version of HAL2000, you can install HALvoices
U.S. English or HALvoices U.K. English.
