Home Automated Living is a software publisher and a distributor
of our software and hardware. All product sold is new and
in its original packaging.
Orders received weekdays after 12:00pm Eastern time will be processed
the next business day.
Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
For international shipments wich are non returnable, there may
be additional duty, tax, and brokerage fees collected by the carrier
for which the purchaser is responsible for paying.
We're not happy unless you are! Our 30-day, no-risk, money-back
policy guarantees that you will be happy with your software purchase
or we'll refund the cost of your software product. That's
why our software will run for 30 days without registration. If
for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return any unregistered
software product within 30 days of the ship date. Home Automated
Living will issue credit for the cost of the product(s) only and
sales tax, if any. Sorry, we cannot refund shipping costs
and this guarantee does not include hardware.
Software can not be returned once the
seal on the CD envelope or case has been broken or if the software
has been registered.
Defective items may be return to Home Automated Living Return
Center at any time within the stated warranty period. Customers
may also return any software product that they are not satisfied
with within 30 days of the original ship date under Home Automated
Living's no-hassle policy (excludes open software). The
Home Automated Living Return Center will assess Customers that
return preconfigured HAL Servers that are not defective with a
restocking fee of 25%. Excluding defective items, all products
must be in perfect re-sellable condition with all packaging intact,
warranty cards and instruction manuals. The Home Automated
Living Return Center will assess a restocking fee of 25% for any
items returned that do not conform to this standard. Tampering
with enclosures, cutting wires, breaking seals, altering date
codes or other modifications will void all warranties.
Any items showing signs of alteration will be immediately returned
to the customer. Home Automated Living does not refund shipping
costs. Defective products that are exchanged will be shipped
back to the customer without additional shipping cost.
Any software returned is subject to inspection.
If the software CD has been opened or if the software
has been registered, the return will not be accepted.

If you wish to return a product, please call the Home Automated
Living Sales Department at 1-817-557-9400 and obtain a Return
Authorization (RA) number. The RA number must appear
prominently on the outside of the box. ANY RETURNS NOT
BEARING THIS NUMBER MAY BE REFUSED. All issued RA numbers
for which product has not been received will be purged after
30 days.

Record the items being returned and the reasons for the return on the back of the invoice that was sent with the shipment. Place a copy of that page in the box with your return.

Re-box the items you wish to return. Make sure that any items being returned for refund are in resellable condition. Prominently write the RA number from step one on the outside of the box.

Ship the carton to the address provided once Return has been
authorized. Please use an insurable and trackable method
for returning the package. Home Automated Living is
not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged on the
way back to our facility.

Refunds will be made by company check if the original order
was made with cash, check or money order. All others will
be refunded to the customer's original credit card. Home
Automated Living makes every effort to process your return quickly
once the package has been received. Please note that some
credit card companies may take from 30 to 60 days to process
a credit so there may be a delay in posting the refund to your
account. You may review the status of your return by calling
the Sales Department.
